Any .md or .markdown file, or plain Markdown text pasted directly into the input area. Standard Markdown and GitHub Flavored Markdown (GFM) are both supported.

Is my content private?

Yes. All rendering is done in your browser using JavaScript. Your Markdown is never sent to any server.

What is the difference between this viewer and the Markdown Editor?

The viewer is read-only — designed for opening and reading .md files quickly. The editor has a split-view writing mode, auto-save, and word count. Use the viewer to read; use the editor to write.

Can I edit the Markdown I'm viewing?

Click 'Edit in Editor' in the toolbar. The content transfers directly to the Markdown Editor where you can make changes.

Can I view multiple files?

One file at a time. Click 'Load Another File' to clear and load a new .md file. For converting multiple files at once, use the Markdown Converter.
