How do I rotate a video online?

Can I flip or mirror a video?
Yes. Choose Flip Horizontal to mirror left and right, which is the common mirror-video effect for selfie footage. Choose Flip Vertical when the top and bottom of the frame need to be inverted.
Is this different from rotating video in VLC?
VLC can rotate playback and can also export transformed video through its conversion settings, but the workflow is not obvious for most users. Zolkit is designed for a single task: upload a clip, choose the transform, and download a permanently rotated MP4.
Will the rotated video lose quality?
Rotating or flipping pixels requires re-encoding the video. High quality uses a lower CRF for clearer output, Balanced is the best default, and Smaller creates a lighter file with more compression.
Can I turn a landscape video into portrait?
If the video was recorded sideways, rotating it 90 degrees swaps the frame orientation and turns landscape into portrait. This tool does not crop the center of a horizontal video into a vertical aspect ratio; it rotates the whole frame.
