Frequently Asked Questions
Why does my merged video have no audio?
Quick Join copies streams as-is. If one of your clips has no audio track, the concat demuxer may drop audio for the entire output. Switch to Smart Join, which explicitly maps audio streams and handles missing audio tracks by substituting silence. Also check that each clip plays with audio before joining.
Can I merge iPhone videos (MOV) with Android videos (MP4)?
Yes, but use Smart Join. iPhone MOV files use HEVC (H.265) and Android MP4 files typically use H.264. Quick Join requires matching codecs. Smart Join re-encodes everything to H.264 MP4, so iPhone and Android clips merge seamlessly. Set output resolution to 720p or 1080p for a reasonable file size.
How do I change the order of my clips?
After uploading, you can drag clips in the list to reorder them. The final video will play clips from top to bottom in the order shown. You can also remove individual clips by clicking the × button next to each clip.
Is there a limit on how many phone clips I can join?
