What video formats are supported for audio extraction?

What if my video has no audio track?

FFmpeg will return an error and Zolkit will display 'Extraction failed — no audio track found'. This can happen with silent videos, GIFs converted to MP4, or screen recordings with audio muted. In this case, there is no audio to extract.

Should I choose WAV or FLAC for lossless extraction?

FLAC is almost always better than WAV for lossless extraction. FLAC compresses the audio without any quality loss, producing files 40–60% smaller than WAV at identical quality. Choose WAV only if the software you plan to use for further editing doesn't support FLAC.

Can I use extracted audio in YouTube videos or other content?
